|Cyberthreat Attack Grows as War Looms|

Public sector organisations have been warned by the head of the UK's National Infrastructure Security Co-ordination Centre (NISCC) to expect an increase in electronic attacks in the run-up to possible military action against Iraq, Computer Weekly reports.
Speaking in an interview, Stephen Cummings, Director of the NISCC, said: "There will be groups attacking US government and Department of Defense websites, and similar groups carrying out activities against the websites of any country involved in military action."
According to reports, the NISCC believes that government IT systems are likely to be "prime targets" of any attack.
