19 March 2003
The Home Office has published new information and advice on its website to tell the public what to do to prepare for a terrorist attack.
The pages, which can be found at www.homeoffice.gov.uk/terrorism, provide information on basic preventative measures and advise of the need to maintain extra vigilance.
An improved website, featuring "further information and improved structure and navigation", is to be launched shortly.
The move comes as the Metropolitan police launched a new advertising campaign to encourage people to call a free, confidentail Anti-Terrorism hotline on 0800 789 321 if they wish to report anything suspicious.
