The London Borough of Sutton is to implement a new integrated business information system, it was announced today.

The system, which is scheduled to go live in April 2004, will be provided by Agresso under a £600,000 contract.

Bob York, executive head of financial services at Sutton, said in a statement: "It’s not just about delivering the eGovernment agenda, we also want to improve our services across the board and modernise our processes."

Commenting on the Agresso system, he said: "It’s a modern looking system which is both easy to use and intuitive. We also liked the fact that the web-enablement was an integral part of the system and not simply bolted on."
