|Kiosks Hit the Streets|
7 April 2003
Residents in Ealing now have round-the-clock access to council information and services through a network of 10 touch-screen kiosks that have been installed across the Borough.
The kiosks provide an A-Z of council services, information on current job vacancies and contact details for local councillors, and form part of a £4.1 million contract with Cityspace and London Transport.
Councillor Liz Brookes, Cabinet Member for Customer Engagement, commented: "These kiosks will be a real benefit to the people of Ealing. Now that they are live, residents and visitors to the borough will be able to use them to keep up-to-date with what we're doing and give us valuable feedback."
A total of 25 kiosks will eventually be available at various locations.
