New Opportunities for High Speed Networks

Network News reports on London Electricity's wholly-owned subsidiary which has been set up to meet demand for high speed communications services for businesses in the capital - an issue crucial to long-term development plans.

The company, called 51°, is building a 145km internet protocol (IP) Gigabit Ethernet network using London Electricity's network of 17,000 properties and 45 aggregation sites.
