90% 'Win Congestion Charge Appeals'

The Times reports today that more than nine out of 10 drivers appealling against their congestion charges fines are having their penalty notices overturned.

Independent congestion charge arbiters have found in favour of Transport for London in 71 out of 1,125 cases heard so far, the paper claims. The vast majority of cases related to errors in entering the numberplate or date when the driver entered the charging zone.
