|Councils Preview eGovernment Software|
|19 May 2003|
Three new software packages co-developed by a partnership of 35 councils are to be unveiled in late June, priced below the cost of commercial systems.
The Local Authority Software Club (LASC), whose members include London Boroughs, county councils and smaller authorities, said the products could be on the market by early October, and are expected to form part of a new software catalogue for local government to be launched at the Society of IT Management's annual conference.
The products were named as a performance management package by the Bromley Council, an online consultation finder from Bristol City Council and an information asset register created by Devon County Council.
