Government Launches E-Procurement for Local Government Campaign

LGOL National E-Procurement Programme

2 October 2002

A new government initiative has been launched to accelerate the introduction of electronic procurement in local government.

The “Delivering E-Procurement” Local Government Online (LGOL) Project will provide practical support and guidance to the 388 English local authorities to take full advantage of e-procurement by the Government’s target date of 2005. - standards and products tailored to local authority requirements.
