|New e-GIF Consultation|
19 August 2003
The Cabinet Office has published a draft version of a proposed update of the second part of the e-Government Interoperability Framework, which covers the technical standards and specifications for public sector IT systems that underpin the UK's eGovernment strategy.
The latest update also claims to include new guidance on the use of wireless local area network communications, although the advice given is no different than that of the last version published in February 2003, which advised only that work was ongoing to develop a "standards based approach to enable wider deployment of wireless within Government".
Responses are requested by 26 September to firstname.lastname@example.org
