Fare Rises Waived for Oyster Users

London Underground fares are to be frozen for passengers using the new Oyster smartcard ticketing system from January, it has been announced.

The move forms part of a four-year fare package designed to encourage commuters to pay in advance for tickets where possible to reduce congestion at tube stations.  Discount rates on bus travel will also be available to Oyster card users.
