|Where there's a WiLL...|
11 September 2003
A ground-breaking new online service has been launched bringing together information on all public libraries in the capital.
Visitors to "What's in London libraries" (WiLL) will be able to search through the catalogues of libraries all over London via a central database combining data from each of the 33 London Boroughs.
"Project WiLL is an exemplar of how libraries must work together to share resources for the benefit of everyone", commented Chris Batt, Acting Chief Executive of Resource: The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries, which manages the Peoples Network.
"It reflects exactly the aspirations of Framework for the Future, the Government's vision for libraries over the next ten years, by integrating a wide range of different library services into a single simple interface."
